Wanted!

Here it is January again, time for a New Year’s Resolution, again.  Weight Loss it is, again.  This year is going to be different, 2014 is going to be the year I lose weight and keep it off!  I am going to start the ITG Diet Weight Loss Plan the first Monday of the New Year, January 6th.

After losing 34 pounds in 2010 I told myself, “You may never be smaller than this but you will never be larger!”  Three years later and 16 of the 34 pounds I lost have found its way back, just like a lost dog. Lol   I am so determined to be fully committed to the ITG Diet that I decided the best way to hold myself accountable is to use the buddy system.

"Most people put all their effort into finding the right diet or exercise program but don't put any energy into creating a support and accountability system, and too often, that's where the devil lies," says Adam Shafran, DC, an exercise physiologist and chiropractor who is the author of You Can't Lose Weight Alone: The Partner Power Weight Loss Program.

While we can pick our friends and partners for qualities that we like, a buddy to support weight loss is a different creature all together!  Your best friend may not want to tell you that you really shouldn’t be using that creamer in your coffee, whereas your weight loss buddy will have no such qualms – diet buddies should be two or more people who share a common goal, support each other to get there and are not afraid to tell it how it is!

With all that said, I am looking for several buddies to join me on the ITG Diet.

The only requirements is that you share the goal of successful weight loss and that you love yourself as is right now.  If you don’t love the “you” that’s 200 or 300 pounds, you can’t take care of yourself the way you need and deserve to as you’re losing weight.

Learning to love yourself—or at least care enough to work toward loving yourself—is key to successful weight loss.
